Photography is not art goddamnet! It’s just a Xerox of what just happened.

This reminds me of an incident in high school, actually. We had an art show every year, and one year someone wanted to submit some photography that had been manipulated using a computer. The art teacher told him it “didn’t count” as art or something. I’m pretty sure I was furious. Yes, anyone can manipulate a photograph - but then again, anyone can pick up a paint brush and paint a picture. There are still standards of quality and form, etc.
The next year, the art teacher was teaching a Photoshop class. She didn’t know how to use it, so I’m not sure how that worked out.
